Welcome! I’m Jodi (she/her) and I am an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT). I am dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate their unique journeys toward lasting change. My approach combines deep understanding with practical strategies, empowering you to uncover the root causes of your behaviors and work collaboratively toward meaningful, sustainable transformation.
For Couples: Relationships are complex and can be challenging, but they are also a profound opportunity for growth and connection. I work with couples to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and rebuild trust. Together, we’ll explore underlying patterns and behaviors that may be impacting your relationship, fostering a deeper understanding of each other’s needs and perspectives. My goal is to help you create a stronger, more resilient partnership, built on mutual respect and empathy.
For Individuals: Whether you’re facing specific challenges or seeking personal growth, my individual therapy sessions are tailored to your unique needs. I focus on helping you understand the behaviors that may be holding you back and work with you to develop new strategies for positive change. Through a combination of evidence-based techniques and compassionate support, we’ll work together to identify your goals, address underlying issues, and create a personalized plan for lasting improvement.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and focused on action. Together, we’ll collaborate on practical assignments and skills to work on between sessions. I draw from various techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive psychology, narrative therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. I believe that lasting change arises from a profound understanding of oneself and a commitment to personal growth. By creating a safe, non-judgmental environment, I encourage exploration and self-reflection, empowering you to develop the tools and confidence necessary to reach your goals.
A Bit About Me: I consider myself a late bloomer and truly understand the challenges life can bring. After my husband passed away, I started college in my 30s, transitioning from being a stay-at-home mom to finding ways to support my family. Juggling college and raising two young children was tough but incredibly fulfilling. Before starting college, my sister said to me, “Time is going to pass anyway. You can either look back in 10 years and marvel at what you’ve done or think about what you could’ve accomplished.” Starting is the hardest part. Whether it’s a new habit, wild goal or a desire to feel better. I am here to help you begin and stay on track.
